Sometimes life throws you curveballs.
Since the start of this hike, I’ve been experiencing some periodic chest/breathing discomfort that was hard to pinpoint if it was injury-related, backpack-fit-related, or something else. I made the decision while hiking into Snoqualmie Pass to get off trail to get it checked out, and since the appointments I have scheduled are spread out, I’ll be off trail for several more weeks at least.
I’m still hoping to be able to return later in the summer to finish Washington state, but we’ll just see. In the meantime, I’ll be enjoying all the things I don’t get to have when I’m thru-hiking: internet and hot coffee and iced coffee and so much delicious food, like the two slices of pizza (pictured at the top of this post) that I bought after getting into Snoqualmie Pass, each one as big as my face. They were amazing.
Until next time, here are a couple more pictures from the last section.
Hey Wallflower!!
I love seeing the world through your eyes! I hope everything is okay and you’re back out enjoying nature soon
